Why usage-based?

Bonus abuse exposure looks different for a 5,000-user platform than a 500,000-user one. Usage-based pricing means you're never paying for scale you don't have — and never under-covered once you do.

A flat platform fee makes sense for tools where cost tracks headcount or seats. It makes less sense for a fraud detection layer, where the actual cost driver is event volume — how many signups and claims are actually being scored — and that volume doesn't move in a straight line with company size. A seasonal platform might see traffic spike five times over during a major sports season or holiday promotion, and a flat-fee model would either overcharge in the quiet months or leave you exposed right when abuse attempts typically spike alongside genuine traffic. Usage-based pricing tracks the actual risk surface instead of a proxy for it.

Which tier usually fits

Most platforms that come to us already have a rough sense of their scale, but a few patterns are common. A newer sweepstakes or skill-gaming app under 10,000 monthly active users typically starts on Starter, mainly to get visibility into whether abuse is happening at all before deciding how much tooling to invest in. A platform that's already noticed a promo-budget problem — usually because finance flagged it — tends to go straight to Growth, since the account graph and review queue are what actually let a fraud team act on what Kixo9 finds rather than just watching a number. Enterprise is less about size on its own and more about structure: multiple brands or skins sharing (or specifically not sharing) fraud signals, needing model tuning specific to each one, or requiring a named point of contact rather than standard support.

What's included at every tier

Regardless of plan, every Kixo9 customer gets the same core detection engine — the same models, the same signal set, the same real-time scoring. What changes between tiers is depth of tooling and support, not the underlying accuracy of the risk score. A Starter customer isn't getting a "lite" version of the fraud detection; they're getting the full engine with a narrower set of configuration and reporting tools around it, which is usually the right fit for a smaller platform that doesn't yet need a dedicated review queue or custom model tuning.

Frequently asked

Is there a setup fee?

No setup fee on Starter or Growth plans. Enterprise engagements may include implementation support scoped to your integration.

Can we start on a trial?

Yes — most teams start with a data review using a sample of their own signup or claim history before committing to a plan.

How is usage measured?

Usage is measured by the number of signup and claim events scored per month, not by total registered users.

Can we switch plans as we grow?

Yes — moving from Starter to Growth (or Growth to Enterprise) doesn't require a new integration; it's a configuration change on our side.

What happens if we go over our expected volume in a given month?

Traffic spikes are scored normally — you're not cut off — and billed at the usage rate for your plan rather than facing an overage penalty.

Not sure which plan fits?

Tell us about your platform's size and promo structure and we'll recommend a starting point.
